What is Halal Food Certification?
Halal food certification is the certification of the preparation of foods and products in accordance with Islamic rules in all production processes from the main production stage to the consumption stage. This process is carried out by an authorized, competent and impartial institution inspecting the production and verifying it within the framework of the OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 General Requirements for Halal Food standard created by SMIIC. Along with halal requirements, compliance with the "Helalen Tayyiben" conditions stated in the Holy Quran, hygiene, ISO and HACCP rules is also mandatory.
